Hello,

I am a Lecturer in Media Studies in NUIM since 2005, and I was Subject Leader for Media Studies from 2007-9. I teach modules on media theory and social theory across the different years of the BA and on our MA in Radio and Television Production.

I studied at Trinity College Dublin and at Dublin City University, where I completed my PhD, and prior to working in NUIM I lectured in the University of Helsinki. My current research interests centre on media, migration and transnationalism, on discourses of ‘diversity’ in the media and public life, and on the mediation of the ‘crisis of multiculturalism’ in Europe.

I am interested in supervising M.Litt and PhD research in these areas, as well as projects examining aspects of the mediation of social and political life.
