The Centre for Media Studies’ new MA in Radio and Television Production is a unique programme designed to prepare you for a career in radio and television production. You do not need previous training or experience in Media Studies: If you are a graduate – or are soon to be a graduate – of a humanities or social sciences programme and want to make factual programmes, our one-year, full-time M.A. in Radio and Television Production offers you the opportunity to acquire the relevant technical and intellectual skills.

The course places its emphasis firmly on practical programme making, with theoretical and research modules that provide a valuable academic context. Building on your studies in the humanities or social sciences, the degree offers a focused training in factual programme making designed to produce skilled documentary makers.

The M.A. in Radio and Television Production is run in conjunction with one of Ireland’s most respected independent production companies, Kairos Communications Ltd., at whose state-of-the-art studio you will be taught by professionals working in the industry.
